For the past forty years politics in Greenwich has been done the same way. Labour controls the Council and focuses on maintaining its huge majority. A small group of Conservative councillors criticise every decision. This short-sighted, adversarial approach doesn’t serve our Borough well - residents feel far removed from bi-partisan decision making, which all too often harms our community.

Glyndon has long been a neglected part of our Borough. Why? Because in a Council completely dominated by one particular party, councillors don’t actually have to represent or engage with their constituents to win seats, the Labour Party machine does it for them. That’s why I ask you to consider a different party, a different candidate, one that will fight tooth and nail for you and your say in how your community should be run. Decades of Labour control have done little for Glyndon, it’s time for a change.

Greenwich Council has approved plans for a cruise liner terminal on the River Thames. Under these plans floating hotels will dock at Enderby Wharf on the Greenwich Peninsula for extended periods, running off diesel generators that spew out as much NO2 and particulate matter as 688 HGV’s per hour.

On the day transport fares go up throughout the country, activists from Greenwich and Lewisham Green Parties will today hand out #FairFares postcards to commuters at Overground, DLR and mainline stations across the two boroughs revealing their party’s radical plans to flatten fares across the capital and make transport fairer for all Londoners.

Greenwich Council has refused to say if it knew that EU funding was available for clean power at the Enderby Wharf cruise terminal before it approved the controversial scheme.
